Game shows are very rarely entertaining but QI is constantly entertaining and impressing me.

It’s a 26-year project, each series dealing with a different letter of the alphabet, and this is the one that started it all off. Here is an avalanche of askings on astronomy, anteaters, apples, Africa, aeroplanes, atoms, antelopes, anchovies, Antarctica and Azerbaijan - all of it absolutely astonishing to Alan Davies (QI’s resident loser and Stephen Fry’s favourite stud-muffin).

A lady today charging her iPod in one socket and her nokia phone in the other. She unplugged her nokia to accomodate my MacBook and commented “someday soon, houses will be entirely sockets, to charge all these things we have”

This prompts me to blog about the imminent arrival of something called induction to our electronic lifestyles, its boring, but you might like to be aware of the cool advances that are around the corner before you invest in sockets & extension cords.

One of the simplest ways to understand Induction is to visit Splashpower’s website. They’re a british firm specializing in the technology, and as such will answer a lot of your questions, I only want to raise awareness of what it is, how cool it’ll be and also the fact that Apple has filed a patent for putting this technology into portable devices, we can imagine then, that we’ll all be able to simply lay our iPhones and iPods on our coffee tables and have them charge up without plugging and unplugging.

Turns out its nothing too shady thats resulting in my blog being listed under Ignorance on technorati! Just my dim wit that failed to realise I’m tagging some articles on my blog ‘General Ignorance’, its a play on the term ‘General Knowledge’ created by the Game show ‘QI’ (Quite Interesting) (a play on IQ).
I posted something under this tag the other day and technorati rightfully filed it under Ignorance, Maybe I should change the tag to General Knowledge but I’ll leave it as is for the moment.

Quick research on Dr Scholl reveals its part of the Schering-Plough Corp, listed on the NYSE with ticker sgp.
Buying stock during the last 12 months sould almost certainly have resulted in a profit as the stock is up an impressive 33%, one concern I have is whether its an ethical investment, they make other products including a Cholesterol drug which helped their bottom line in the 4th quarter (Profits up 75%), and I’ve not resarched their drug manufacturing practices or philiosophy.
Whether they’re a worthwhile investment this year, only time will tell, I stand by Yahoo as a great company thats very undervalued right now and might hold off on investing in Schering Plough until there’s a pullback.

What a nice day it is today, reminds us all of how good love is, how important is is to listen to our hearts and spoils us with chocolate and candy!

So, I’ve only one person on youtube that made videos funny enough that made me a subscriber, that was LisaNova, and she just posted a video here about her new job as a cast member on MAD TV, its great news for her and for all the people creating and making good original content for youtube. I’m super stoked for her too as her video’s are pretty awesome when they’re good.
