Was the theft of Munch’s ‘The Scream’ really about art?
The Guardian has a great article here that gives the background to Munch’s ‘The Scream’ and the robbery in 2004, it also discusses a theory about whether the robbery was an attempt to distracy the police from a serious robbery and murder case that they were working on nearby.

of course it was about art! i mean who wouldn’t want that amazing piece….soo post-modern even though it was painted in the early 20th century
